First Thoughts – Three Minutes
As usual, we will try to keep this spoiler free for those of you who have not seen the episode yet, but if you have seen it and want to add some specific thoughts feel free to post to the comments section.
First off, what is the deal with everyone keeping secrets? Let’s take a look at some of key facts. It has obly been a few weeks since they crashed on this mysterious island. The folks in the tail section were picked-off by the Others over a couple of days. Roughly 20% have either been abducted or killed since the the crash, yet everyone wants to keep any discovery secret. Come on Locke & Eko; tell them about “The Pearl”! Just before they found Michael in The Hunting Party, Kate finally told Jack about the costumes and glue.
Last week when Michael told them that the Others were dressed in rags and only had two guns Kate kind of looked at Jack since they both know the “rags” are costumes”. And of course they have more than two guns; the Others took 5-6 when they traded for Kate in the jungle. But as anyone that has seen the preview for Three Minutes knows, Jack the hero is ready to follow Michael and go get-r-done over at the Others' camp. Idiot!
That brings me to point two, Jack is a freakin’ idiot. Pre-crash he must not have spent enought time venting his rage on Xbox Live playing Halo 2 or some other shooter. It sure seems like he enjoys waiving that gun around:
Michael takes the gun in The Hunting Party, and heads off into the jungle. Jack and his buddies suit up and follow. That sure worked out well.
A few episodes ago Jack wanted something from Sawyer, so he throws the last few pages of Bad Twin in the fire and pulls a gun on him.
Michael tells them about the Others' camp and Jack is ready to lock & load.
It doesn’t come up in this episode, but has anyone thought about going back to that cable that Sayid found running into the ocean? At the end of the episode, one of the Losties started walking down the beach. Hopefully he/she will find it and we can get a little more info.

I thought I was going to leave a comment here defending the losties for keeping their secrets, but I just can't do it. Idiots! Jack's middle name should be "Ass". "Jack Ass Shephard" has a nice ring to it dontcha think? I mean who can imagine having Jack as a friend? That guy is such a blowhard it kills me. If you ask me, Sayid is the only one of them with his head screwed on straight. The rest of them are so annoying that they've got me rooting for the others. Go others go! Kill 'em all, let "him" sort them out!

I'm disappointed that Michael wasn't brainwashed. Speaking of keeping secrets, why didn't he just come out and say what happened to him while he was gone. There is absolutely no reason at all why Michael had to kill anyone.
